Millport Crocodile Rock

CROCODILE ROCK - MILPORT

This is a popular attraction with visitors to Milport on the Isle of Cumbrae. The rock has beem painted to resemble the head of a crocodile, and at high tide the effective, as the area around the rock is covered by water. Though as you can see in the photograph at low tide childern are still drawn to it.

That is too funny! Is the rock painted by design or by vandals?

The rock has been painted like this for more than thirty years, so I believe that it would be as a tourist attraction.
